BUILDING FUture experiences.
Briefing
UXMA is an owner-managed company specialising in the development of outstanding user experiences, working with renowned international clients across product, strategy and concept.
To coincide with the launch of their new website, UXMA needed a new company showreel. The previous video was team-centred and human in tone, but didn’t communicate what the company actually does.
My brief was to concept, storyboard, animate, colour grade 4K S-LOG footage and edit a new video that balanced both, delivered in a loopable format for seamless playback on the homepage.
In addition to the desktop version, an alternative mobile version was required, which meant manually re-animating and adapting every sequence rather than simply reformatting.

Process
This was the first project I owned end-to-end, from concept to final delivery. I worked independently with a weekly sparring partner and presented to the company’s senior stakeholders at defined milestones.
The core challenge was editorial: how do you represent complex UX and design system work in 3 to 5 seconds of screen time, in a way that reads instantly but still communicates depth? I started by auditing all existing material, including footage and design files, and making strategic decisions about which client cases to include and how to frame them.
From there I developed mood references, translated them into storyboards tailored to each case, and iterated with my sparring partner before stakeholder sign-off.
The video remains the first thing visitors see on the UXMA homepage to this day. That individual scenes could be swapped out as team members changed without disrupting the overall flow was no accident: the structure was conceived from the start to be modular enough to absorb updates without requiring a full rebuild.
