Briefing

For the German market launch of the Samsung T7 Shield, we adapted an existing international campaign into a series of short-form clips with a comedic tone. The deliverable was twelve clips in total: three motives, each adapted to 16:9, 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16 formats for cross-media use.

Process

Adapting existing material is a different kind of challenge than building from scratch. The source clips were longer international ads with a clear comedic logic. My job was to cut them down to 15 seconds without losing the punchline, which meant making deliberate decisions about which scenes to keep and where the story could be compressed without falling apart.

Fitting the German copy into the outro required masking the SSDs frame by frame directly in the footage. Alongside that I animated the typography and edited the sound effects to match the new cuts. The result was twelve final clips across four formats, all consistent in tone and timing.
